hi! welcome to abesfilters. on this page, we post mainly filters, but we do have other resources! other resources include: color palettes, backgrounds, fonts, & pngs.

we also have different hashtags for our materials! the others section contains icons and fonts.

IMPORTANT INFO

♡ - REQUESTING FILTERS:

here at abesfilters, we do take filter requests, but you must know how to properly request a filter before we'll do it.

do not ask for a filter of a specific show/movie. most of our filters are bound to work for whichever show/movie you are thinking about.how to request: when requesting, make sure to mention a specific color (such as light blue or dark green), if you want a gradient, how bright or dark do you want the brightness to be, and how much you want the filter saturated.
♡ - REQUESTING TO FOLLOW:

abesfilters gets a lot of follow requests in a short period of time. there are also times when both admins are not in the mindset to accept requests. so, before you dm us about accepting your request, please take in that we often have a lot to go through a lot requests, but we will eventually get to yours. thank you for being patient!

hiya! i'm layna, the second co-owner/admin of this account. i joined on august 4, 2019.

i am a good friend of charl's, so i offered to help take some of the load off of her in regards to managing the account. ever since then, i've been helping and posting materials <3

NEW EDITORS/FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

welcome to a little guide for new editors or people who just want to know what something is!

♡ - IF YOU ARE A NEW EDITOR:

first of all, we hope that you have a joyful experience while editing. it is a tedious practice, but the more you do it, the more creative you become!

now, for the main information that will help you! also, not every app is the same across different systems, like apple and android.

apps that are used for editing: polarr (filters), picsart & superimpose (editing), phonto (text), we heart it/pinterest (pictures), + pic collage & moldiv (collages). there are a variety of other apps that can be used.
picsart is a major app that many editors use. it has a variety of tools that you can use to become a pro editor. it also features a color wheel in the draw section where you can get the colors off of a picture or from our color palettes. if you ever need a tutorial, there are plenty of youtube videos!
phonto is what you use when you want to add text to your edit/picture. fonts can be downloaded at dafont.com. if you are looking for a font that is not on dafont, search up the filter name and add free onto it (for example: "new helvetica free").

now, here's the really important stuff: the frequently asked questions and their answers!

HOW DO I SAVE A FILTER?

to save a filter, make sure you have the app POLARR downloaded. it is available on the app store and play store. next, screenshot the qr code of the filter that you want. make sure you get it cropped enough that it's mostly just the code. then import it into the app and you're done! if you have a problem with any codes, dm us!
CAN YOU MAKE A SPECIFIC FILTER?

yes! we do take requests, but to request properly, please look at our important info page.

"I CAN'T FIND THIS FILTER...."

we actually get dms about this a lot and we usually do send the filter posts for the filter in question, but we also wanted to let you know that you can look through #abespolarr and the filter you're looking for is likely there :) also, please don't send us dms where you're asking what filter someone else used on their post.

WHY ISN'T THE CODE WORKING?

well, sometimes accidents happen. there are few filters that are messed up, but if the code is bad, just dm us. the somebody else filter post unfortunately has some issues, so if you want the codes to the original, the b&w, and the no gradient, they are in the filters highlight.

WHAT IS A COLOR PALETTE?

a color palette is a collection of colors pulled from filtered screencaps. you can use them to decorate your edit and if you do graphics, they can be used for panels. there's also a post in the faq highlight to help you.
HOW DO I GET THE COLORS?

first of all, make sure you have picsart downloaded. then, head over to the faq highlight on our Instagram page and read it :)there is also another post in the faq highlight on how to make your own color palette.
HOW DO I USE COLOR CODES ON PHONTO?

phonto has recently updated to have a new feature where you can put in an html color code (#B59898 for example) to get a custom color. a useful website to get the codes from is this one. all you have to do is put an image in and click on a designated color to get the code. the font color palette highlight on our account has the steps on how to use the code.

WHAT IS MEGA/CAN I HAVE THE LINK?

if you've looked through our stories/posts, you'll find that abesfilters has a screencap pack for different shows available through an app called MEGA. this app is essentially like a cloud/storage service and is free. to use the mega pack, you have to create an account. the link to the screencap pack is in the links page. click import when it pops up.
